Exercise: The Natural “Feel-Good” Drug

Frustrated? Sad? Stressed? Hit the gym and feel good. Exercise releases endorphins, which are our bodies natural anti-depressants. Instead of resorting to the short term “feel good” options such as alcohol or drugs, try the healthy solution of working out. Besides lifting your mood, exercise will help you sleep better at night, it will boost your energy level, and even have a positive effect on your sex life.

Don’t be part of the 33% of Americans that refuses to take part in any exercise at all ( a statistic which explains the 30% obesity rate). Instead, put aside at least 3 days a week where you do yoga, pilates, lift weights, run, swim, bike, row or do any other form of cardiovascular exercise. The physical and emotional benefits are endless.
